Our Mission
When done well, branded workwear inspires a sense of belonging in those who wear it. People who look professional and feel professional will act professionally.
When we began working with Wholesale Domestic in 2013, we worked closely with them to cultivate a very specific look for their business and created a unique product with a combination of attractive product and very unique colour.
For their 2019 brand update we had the goal of maintaining the appearance of the original uniform, but doing away with some of the items which the team at Wholesale felt had become antiquated, or the team weren’t 100% comfortable in.
How we did it
As always the first step was taking the time to understand the customers’ environment, the challenges the team face and their expectation of appearance from the team. As a transitioning family business, the strong values of “old fashioned” appearance wear very much ingrained with the team wearing shirts, ties and traditional knitwear. We wanted to keep the traditional look and feel for the team but bring the uniform into the new era of the business.
Substituting the heavy, old fashioned knitwear for fantastic, 3 layer breathable soft shell jacket was the first step. These items, in a stunning Azure Blue to guarantee the sales team stood out, are made from a cutting edge breathable fabric. When showrooms can be cool in the winter and warm in the summer, this jacket provides outstanding flexibility and temperature regulation. We kept the shirts, dropped the items, providing them in a variety of fits in both men’s and ladies so that there was a fit for everyone. All of this was burnished on the chest, both sleeves and backs with Wholesale Domestic branding to complete the image – it looked fantastic.
Then into 2019, another 7 years on and time for another revamp. Ironically we modernised another layer and “brough back the old” on other – funny how times change. Taking the shirt now out of the equation entirely, the team felt “suits and shirts” are old fashioned and in many retail environments now this is being echoed.
We went for an incredible long sleeve polo shirt this around, keeping the uniform comfortable but still very smart and not deviating too far from the look of a long sleeve shirt. As the soft shells from the previous issue were still in use by the team, we brough in a lovely quarter zip ultra thin modern knitwear to slot in underneath wear required and a lovely silver shirt/blouse to split the managers from the main team.
